Yusuf Ali Esq. SAN, was called to Bar about 3 decades ago. He madea 2nd Class Upper Division at the University of Ife andthe Nigerian Law School.He was appointed a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of Nigeria in 1989.He ascended the zenith of his professional career in 1997 when he was conferred with the prestigious title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

Yusuf Ali SAN has held many professional offices including but not limited to:

• Sole Judge to the Kwara State Local Government Election Tribunal in 1996;
• Member, Kwara State Local Government Election Appeal Tribunal 1997;
• Member, Body of Benchers since 2006;
• Member, National Executive Committee, Nigerian Bar Association since 1998;

He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK); Member, Chartered Institute of Nigeria; Fellow, Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP); Member, Board of Trustees Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin; Former Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Nigeria Bar Journal; Pioneer Chairman, Section on Legal Practice, Nigerian Bar Association; Chairman, Council of the Office of the Public Defender, Kwara State and Associate Lecturer, University of Ilorin among others.

He has been lead Counsel in many Constitutional Cases as well as in many election petitions.
He is a member of the International Bar Association, Commonwealth Lawyers Association and American Bar Association. He has delivered many papers in different fora   and on diverse topics. He has published many learned articles in learned journal and contributed chapters to many books.
